Suitcase [realia]. 1891-1923

Large black leather suitcase has leather braces at the corners, two clasps at the sides of the top, and a lock in the center. The top handle is leather covered and is attached to the suitcase with square metal rings. The initials "F.K.H." for Florence Kling Harding appear in a circle of red leather. On the long sides there are leather guides for straps, which are now inside the case. There are leather handles on the short sides. Inside, the case is lined with blue flowered fabric. The top has two pouches with elastic tops. The base has one divider. One compartment has two short leather straps that snap to the case.
